NEW MOON IN CANCER 14.7.26 – THE SILENT WITNESS TO YOUR STORY

This new Moon in Cancer occurs at 22 degrees of the sign Cancer – a Master number and significant for the days we are entering. A rare configuration is beginning to take hold over the coming days called Barbault’s Basket (relating to the Astrologer who discovered this cycle) and it involves Jupiter, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. Jupiter will be at the top of this configuration and acts as a handle for this basket! Pluto in opposition to Jupiter at the top and harmonious sextile and trines connecting Uranus and Neptune. This configuration is considered a major turning point and has happened at key points in history. For the first time also since 1922 the planet Uranus flows into a beautiful trine with Pluto – the first of two in 2026, the other in November. From July 19th to the 26th of July it gets bigger and but it is a time when we are moving into a deeper awareness and consciousness that is triggered by this New Moon in Cancer also.

But we have a new moon in the sign of Cancer, with the Sun in Cancer also while Mercury is retrograde in Cancer. So this Moon is shining a light on our past especially when it connects to home and family. Your childhood, growing up and what you now call home is all coming into view so that it can be considered and felt. I might add the planet Neptune is also retrograde now in Uranus and this may add to the feeling of dissolution you could have! The old patterns that you have identified with and have wanted to clear are being dissolved so you see with this New Moon it is not the same as the cycle of new moons where we set out intentions, initially at least as it happens in the void. But for now it is a case of listening to our instincts, trusting our intuition and even more so learning to do these things! To put aside the fears we held when it came to fully trusting our divine guidance. The sign of Cancer ruled by the Moon is the Mothering or nurturing side of our character and we are being asked to show kindness, love and compassion to who we have been, not who we are becoming yet! To let go of the rules and regulations we set ourself and to perhaps see how we had been navigating an awful lot in the past and hid behind a persona that just got us through!

This is a quiet week – or should be – within our hearts. To spend time with the person you travel everywhere with – you. Listen to your heart, to your hurts and to a feeling that is beginning to make itself known to you now. It is an observer if you wish to call it or a guide but deeper than that it is also the essence of God you hold. This Moon is heartfelt and beautiful and is reminding us maybe what we need to do right now is nothing! For a few days anyway and particularly as the amazing configuration of Barbault’s Basket starts to form in the heavens. I will write more about this in the coming days but it will affect wherever you have four degrees of any sign particularly Aries and Leo (fire) and Aquarius and Gemini (air). But wherever these houses are in your Chart will be a chance to travel through this awakening that is really special and something to navigate with an open heart.

We are heading into the lions gate at the end of this month with Leo and the Moon in Cancer is the turning point where we are finally dissolving what we know we cannot bring with us into a new way of living. The change of the Nodes (karma and destiny) at the end of this month is also a door into the new world that is Aquarius. We are taking back our sovereignty and with it the identity that the soul holds as ancient. We are in the act of regeneration and it is our turn to gently step into a new identity we had been afraid of showing the world. Take it easy and gently with yourself and others but most of all spend quiet time acquainting yourself with the feeling that you are not alone. You have the presence of a guide walking with you, who has been there all along for this moment.
