CHIRON IN TAURUS 19.6.2026 – EMBODIMENT.

A beautiful awakening in consciousness is happening – a stirring within our own conscious thoughts has been happening in the days leading up to this change of Chiron (Wound/Gift) from Aries where it has been for eight years into the sign of Taurus today. Aries is the I Am. The first sign of the zodiac that deals with who we are and our identity. Of course it is a fire sign and also what is known as a cardinal sign. Ruled by Mars it is spurred on to engage and to pursue. Competitive by nature it is motivated by challenges and always striving for the best. It was perfectly placed to hold Chiron – a centaur in Greek mythology. While centaurs were known to be savage and lawless, Chiron was immortal, exceptionally wise and celebrated for his intellect. His unique traits set him apart from others yet unlike centaurs who were born from a human King and a cloud of spirit, Chiron was the son of the Titan Cronus (Saturn) and the sea nymph Philyra. He lived in a cave on Mount Pelion and was the legendary tutor to many of Greece’s greatest heroes, including Achilles, Jason and Heracles (Hercules). Because Apollo fostered him – Chiron also mastered medicine, music and archery, hunting and prophecy. He is often referred to as the ‘wounded healer.’ Struck accidentally by one of Heracles’ (Hercules) poison arrows, Chiron chose to surrender his immortality to Zeus in order to free the chained Titan, Prometheus, ultimately being placed in the stars as the constellation Centaurus. So you see how this legend of Chiron shows us where we sacrifice ourselves for the sake of the wounds in our life and what we hold even through our ancestry as our responsibility to that wound even when it is not ours and this goes on to be our sacrifice.

As Chiron moves into Taurus – we find that the gift of Taurus over the next eight years will be its earthiness. Taurus is a fixed Earth sign and we experience the journey of Chiron through our lives in a new way. Rather than spurring us on mentally and emotionally through Mars and Aries it now rests in Taurus ruled by Venus. The harmony we are trying to achieve within our minds now comes into our physical lives. It has the opportunity to be part of our day to day living. Of course Taurus is the second House on the Astrological Chart and shows us how we value ourselves and the life we are living. Our place in the world (Aries) now moves to how we show up in the world (Taurus). We are being asked to put into action what we have learned over the last eight years. You will feel it already perhaps and it may have been quite an intense journey since the last new Moon in Gemini last weekend when we were heading into this. Of course the Summer Solstice is coming in the next day or two and we will be entering the sign of Cancer. This is a time of family, home and how we feel at home. Chiron will be tentatively showing us how we have valued our lives. Some will mention abundance at this stage and of course it also reflects finance in the sign of Taurus in the second house but on a much deeper level it heads into the core of who we are.

After having spent eight years in Aries – we were shown what needed to shift within us – we are going to encounter what we need to create in our own world to enable value be part of our journey. What do we lack? Have we been in the spiral of not valuing who we are, what we do, and even our own time. Do we give so much time to others that we are not addressing the person we are becoming and how we spend that time. This is not really about money, it is about the value of being here on Earth. Of course money is a biproduct of value as is anything we choose to call living. But maybe what comes into question as we start a new eight year journey with Chiron is am I listening to my own wise counsel? Am I trusting the journey I have had so far so as to listen to what my heart is saying? Do I still need to impress people I value so as to be liked or loved? The authenticity of Aries where Chiron has been has left its mark and we are being asked to be genuinely ourselves.

This is a cycle of time in Taurus that will help shape us into being valued and valuing. To acknowledge the journey of the ancestors but perhaps now to also realise it is time to leave down the cycle of lack. To retreat from old wounds that have actually been healed and not to repeat them just because, although wounds, they have become comfortable in our way of living. This journey can be as gentle as we make it or as emotional and fraught with drama if we so wish. It is about balance as always. But one thing Chiron gifts us is the knowledge that sacrifice was never something we keep needing to repeat. It is a spiral of learning and divine timing (through Saturn) that Chiron shows us is inherited and the value we begin to show ourselves and each other will be celebrated by those who have gone before. The next generation will see how you took on the wound and made it into the gift of abundant living through wisdom, prophetic knowledge and understanding. Combined this makes one word, Love.
