A full Moon in Capricorn occurs this evening (29/6/26) and it is a beautiful one. Called a Strawberry Moon because it was the name given by native American tribes as it was time to gather the ripening strawberries.

The Moon in Capricorn (ruled by Saturn) is a strong one as Capricorn deals with our foundations and structures. We are being asked to look honestly at what we have created and see if we have finished with a cycle or way of living. The foundation we are looking at is also home and family as we have Mercury travelling through Cancer and going retrograde and the Sun also in Cancer means it is the foundation of our every day life. We may have finished a karmic cycle where we are saying we have taken responsibility for a certain way of being and now we know it is time to move into the next part of our lives. Saturn (the ruler of Capricorn) is also in the sign of Aries so it is our identity and how we show up in the world we are also looking at. You may be a very different person now from months, weeks or even days ago! The penny may have dropped in some area of your life where you realise you over give or over compensate in some way. This is neither a good or bad thing, its just a realisation of how you are coming to terms with how you operated as a human being and now you are entering the phase of taking on responsibility for yourself and letting others do the same.

This is a moment to recognise your worth. Not in an egoic way – but in a way where you sense the value of what you have already achieved and appreciate the journey you have undertaken to get this far. You are also being asked to release the control of needing to know every outcome in every area of your life. This is a karmic loop that keeps you going around and around like a hamster on a wheel – and many people are happy to keep us there! But now it becomes impossible. Your heart will not let you stay where it is not appreciated or where it is not seen. The Mother energy is very much part of this Full Moon as we have the Sun in Cancer and also Mercury beginning its retrograde in the sign of Cancer. How we nurture ourselves and each other will be looked at in the coming months and especially with certain key points to come in the month of July.

Make no mistake this full Moon has a job and its a vital one. Its going to illuminate what has reached its completion in your life. Now there may be old memories returning and indeed nostalgia because we look back in hindsight and see only the best. But for whatever reason we have chosen to enter this new timeline and Age where each Moon cycle will show us where we have left behind a learned experience and taken the reigns on a new way of being.

What feels like an ending may be the Universe quietly promoting you to a newer version of yourself! So take heart in all things in the coming days and weeks as it is a time of no going back to old ways of holding up a pattern of behavior that is sacrificing your peace and harmony.

This is about building a new path. The Full Moon is a portal of an old era that is highlighting where you are letting go and what it is that kept you in a loop of despair – be it thoughts, worries or just plain old not believing in yourself.

One word about Mercury at this time. The same old rules when it comes to Mercury retrograde applies too with not signing contracts etc. or making big commitments during a Mercury retrograde. But far from being fear mongering I feel it is saying if you do have to sign something be aware it may be bringing you down an old way of doing something to learn a new way. You may revisit friendships etc. but it may be different now too. You may feel you are breaking away from certain commitments that seemed to flow before. If you decide to go back into situations you could find that its a second chance to learn the same lesson! To be sure to be sure! None of this is bad – it is Mercury the messenger and the lower mind at times showing us what we missed out on. Its a safeguard we are given before we commit fully!

Jupiter will also enter Leo tomorrow and that is lovely! It will expand our joy and our innocent heart in a time where we need to acknowledge that aspect of ourselves. It will stay in Leo for thirteen months and it will hightlight where you are going to shine and where you will be seen. But the shadow of that is ego and needing to be seen or needing to be needed. This may bring up peoples shadow and we are acknowledging our shadows in many ways now so as to enlighten ourselves. This week Mars also meets the planet Uranus in the sign of Gemini which can be a dynamic moment! Mars the planet of assertion and doing with the eccentric and innovative Uranus in Gemini will want to say the thing or make something happen. Choose your words carefully and your moments even more selectively! All of these aspects are the shifts of ages in a cycle we will continue to experience. Its not how they affect us it is how we navigate them! And for so many people becoming aware of the fact that it is our own responses to situations that reflects what happens in the World – it means we can see many miracles and moments of clarity in the days, weeks and months ahead.
