PLUTO RETROGRADE 6.5.2026

Today is the start of the Pluto retrograde that happens this time every year and lasts approximately six months. Wherever Pluto affects your Chart it is important to look and see where is the deep dive taking place as it is turning inwards and intensifying wherever that planet happens to be.

Pluto is making its transit through the sign of Aquarius for the next twenty years and nothing will be quite the same as we already feel it. Sudden realisations will be to help us see something deeper in ourselves whether happening in the outer world or in our immediate surroundings. Pluto is the character building planet in many ways. It is the soul Contract planet also and it allows us take a very deep journey into our own psyche after a period of change. We go back in to see how or where we need to alter patterns we have worked through. Where you may need to allow for changes to happen may be highlighted by the planet Uranus also trining Pluto today. It is a good aspect but it is one that highlights the need to be adaptable to change and this may be hard for fixed signs such as Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius especially. But it is one we all need to remain flexible to change now.

This period of Pluto retrograde will show us that there are no guarantees in this new world we have entered and the timeline is shifting to accommodate that. In the past we may have wanted to have a clear and concise image and even guarantee before making decisions or asking others point blank, I need to know!! If we have entered the new timeline we will see clearer and clearer over the coming months. We will know by how we ask less for answers. If you are looking for clear answers then you are still residing in the old timeline but do not despair the fact you can realise that by your patterns will show you to make that move. It is a case of dipping in and out of worlds! I have found that in my own experiences and none of us are lofty enough to say we are totally on our new timeline we are merely visiting from time to time as we work our way through the patterns we called the old era.

Mercury also squares Pluto at the moment and this can have us over thinking! It can also have us over sharing our deepest thoughts before we have processed them! Be aware of the need to continue to work through the timelines we are navigating by being kind to yourself in how you actually are trying to navigate it all! We have never done this before and it is kind of scary at times!

Over the next six months the conditions around this Pluto retrograde will of course have different aspects and especially in this month of May as we start heading into the next few weeks. A nice aspect of Venus in Gemini makes us slightly more lighthearted also and prone to want to seek pleasure. The fire is still with the planets of Mars, Saturn Neptune and also Chiron. And we must not forget that the journey of the past months has also been with Jupiter in Cancer and it will also move this month into Gemini. The healing moves into the Air sign and joins Uranus where sudden sparks of information will form and lightbulb moments abound! But take it all slowly even tho the feeling is to rush ahead especially as we move into the months of June and July. There is a feeling of just allowing ourselves to acclimatise with this energy of feeling. Knowing in a new way. Not wanting to have proof but realising the feeling is everything.

Wherever you are – in a job you know you do not fit anymore or a place or even a relationship – know that you will not be there when it is time not to be. It is as simple as that but not what we want to hear! The turning point over the next six months with the Pluto retrograde in Aquarius is we are making a journey back into parts of our own nature we have never actually taken before! That in itself is astounding. What will it mean? Who knows lol. But it will not mean we can make promises to anyone about how its all going to be despite what is put out on the internet. We can only have indiciations or nudges of instinct when we need to make a left or right turn in any one day. What can that mean for us trying to get to where we think we need to be? Well maybe you are where you are meant to be – for now! The act of surrendering into that honestly and wholeheartedly can only mean the journey through takes shorter!! Find comfort in what you love be it a hobby or a book or even a walk in nature! Anything that makes us feel alive now is good for us!!! It does not have to be something we become dependent on and that is the whole point of this retrograde. Whatever it is you felt your life would be better with – may have to be dropped. Because you depended on that one aspect perhaps. A soul Contract via Pluto is like a high rise walker on a rope suspended across the Grand Canyon. One foot in front of another. Just one. And stop and take in the view from time to time. But this is the clincher, be really grateful you are there Beloved. Very. Because if you look back – and that can be precarious in itself – it looks hazy and a little out of focus. If you look too far ahead you tip the balance and you fall – in this case into old ways.

You may notice time itself has altered significantly in the past few months. Where has the time gone! It jumps or it seems endless! But over the coming Summer months we may notice a slowing process – with this Pluto retrograde – which is lovely as it affords us some lazy hazy days of Summer and brings a certain nostalgic memory to our hearts. But also we can check if we are jumping back into old ways of ‘needing to know for certain’ or wanting a guarantee before we take any step forward! This is an old way of the world and now we need to be present fully to experience the joy of living.
