Lunar Nodes

North Node is almost always retrograde and rarely moves forward.

The South Node is the karmic path we travel to learn and grow from and ultimately we search for the North Star our destiny in the North Node.

They are not planets but mathematical points where the Moons orbit crosses the Suns path called the ecliptic.

They are the core principles for understanding spiritual growth and destiny in Astrology.

The South Node:
Past experiences/lives and ways of being that combine to bring you into another life experience so as to achieve resolution. What no longer serves you must be overcome and resolved so as to achieve the path of destiny and the North Node.

The North Node:
Represents your life purpose what you are to achieve in this lifetime. Whatever house in your Chart the North Node sits in are the vital pieces of information to determine the lessons you need to Master!

The South Node is also a comfort as your soul recognises it and the patterns that may bring you comfort but also keeps you in a cycle of behaviour that is actually an ingrained pattern and is unconsciously known to you!!! It feels safe but it will ultimately be a source of discomfort as you grow spiritually as it will cease to be the way you can live and it will prompt you to find direction to the North Node – a resurrection- as you surrender to your higher consciousness.

As I said earlier the Nodes move retrograde (backwards). But rarely move forward. We come to realise that we are always divinely guided by these two points that keep us in a kind of ebb and flow of consciousness. We are drawn to the south node in our patterns and behaviour until they too become our discomfort and we seek out a new way in the North Node sign and learn to take steps in a new direction.
