ASTROLOGY FOR THIS WEEK 16/3/2026

We start the week with the Sun in Pisces and Moon in Aquarius. Mercury and Mars still in the sign of Pisces also makes for emotions to be deep and to stir our heart. But while logic may be on the long finger for a little while, we are being given a blessing by the heavens to tap into what our hearts are really saying. What did you leave so far behind you as a dream that it is not even a memory any more? Maybe the shift of planets with the Sun moving into Aries on the 20th of March (Friday) indicates we are having an emotional clear out of this cycle and what we leave behind is our ways of coping and also how we denied our deepest emotions in favour of trying to people please our way through. This does not mean we become aggressors it merely suggests we are now going through a backlog of feelings where we will emerge later in the week into the fire sign of Aries with a burgeoning hope arising from the ashes of what we have learned.

This is the start of the astrological New Year and we feel a sense of moving into the longer days and the Spring Equinox also on the 20th March. We may feel like deep cleaning our surroundings also and to throw out what no longer serves us. The feeling of itchy feet or rearing to get going may emerge later in the week in whatever project you have in mind. Up to now the retrograde in Mercury has also been a life review for us. But as Mercury also moves this week will find we go into another gear, gently, and begin to have some momentum with what we are thinking and doing. As it moves on the 20th of March also when the Sun moves into Aries at zero degrees we find this is a reset and a new beginning.

Aries at zero degrees is known as the ‘world point’ – a potent energy where we can taken ownership and leadership of our path. The Equinox day itself (the 20th) is the day of equal day and night/ light and dark. This point is significant in that it follows on from the rare Saturn/Neptune conjunction, also at zero degrees of Aries, in February. This is a week of transition and it is also marked by a new moon also in Pisces. We are literally seeing out the old cycle and entering a new path.

End of the old astrological year.

New Moon in Pisces.

Spring Equinox.

The beginning of a new astrological year.

The end of Mercury’s retrograde.

All of these events build to bring a very strong energy transition. You may feel as if you have finished a very long and arduous journey. Emotions, as I said earlier, will be high at times as you come to terms with the learning of the last few months but also the cycle since the Full Moon in Pisces that coincided with a total lunar eclipse on the 7th September 2025. How different are you since then? What deep revelations have you uncovered in yourself that now serve to set you out on this new path? It does not have to be hugely life changing as you see it, sometimes it can be just a change of mindset that alters the path you are on and brings you into a new world! Trust that now. Trust the inner workings of your heart as we see out the Pisces cycle and how we entered it after the Stellium of planets in Aquarius this year. The personal planets then moved into Pisces and served to push us into the cycle of remembrance. We started with the Sun, Mars, Mercury, Venus and Pluto all in the sign of Aquarius in February 2026. It was forcing us to shift from intellectual innovation towards emotional, water sign Pisces later in that month. This transition intensified and had us focus on restructuring and navigating a time of profound change, not just in our inner world but the world in general.

Now we find ourselves feeling the feelings and acknowledging our hearts in a more intense way but strangely not too over emotionally charged! This is because the stellium in Aquarius had all of the personal planets aligned to acknowledge the shift into the new age and it was like lining up for a new school! We entered Pisces knowing we had to go over what we had learned so far and leave behind that curriculum so as to enter our Mystery School in the age of Aquarius. As we move into Aries now its like first day of Big School! We are being asked to get our ducks in a row but also trust the alchemical change that is happening in the World and within us. Do not think you are powerless and do no think you have no role to play in this world. You are the instigator of change. The acknowledgment of your own inner power and light serves to shift the dynamics of the World we now move into fully this year.

The Nodes (karma/destiny) are still on the Virgo/Pisces axis but will move in the summer of this year. We will still be navigating how we shift from old ways into new potentials and how we can grow and follow our star! Virgo is the healing and Pisces the dynamics of the inner world and this is on going for a while but we are in a new world and it is tangible especially in moments of stillness and silence. You feel the change. This will only become more apparent in the days and weeks ahead. But for now we enter this week with a hope beginning to call to us. It may not be so loud as to hear it just yet, but it is prompting us through our hearts and through a memory in our cells. It is just we have to make our way out of the cave first. We are and the World stands still as we take our places on the stage of the Age of Aquarius and the Spring Equinox of a brand new dawn.
