The five of wands

12.10.23

Wands in the Tarot represent the core level of your spiritual understanding and a need to show it through your intent and actions even when your instinct might be to react in an old way. It is important to look at where we play a part in conflict be it inner conflict or if we are challenged by others. How we represent ourselves while challenged is the mark of how far we have come. In this card it depicts five people with wands in battle. Five represents growth so they have been on a path that has pushed them to grow. Their wands have the start of fertile blossoming but they may not have noticed this yet. The small leaves of green are showing between autumn and Spring a new understanding will take place and the way we react then may be very different to now. The act of violence is not the way to meet violent behaviour it creates chaotic conclusions that are never resolved as it fails to meet each parties need to be heard and seen.

In our own lives how are we representing ourselves and the spiritual body that has now evolved? Do we need to defend what we believe or take a stand ? Or have we grown enough to be a presence of justice and let our guard down so that the only wand we hold is the staff of the pilgrim who is still very much walking and learning.

Wands also represent the astrological signs of Aries Leo and Sagittarius the fire signs. Whatever sign you are you will have some element of this in your Chart also. The fire in this card suggests it can be a time to fire up your intentions also. You may meet challenges from others who see you are changing and perhaps this makes them insecure. The wands formed here can be a boundary you form to let others know when they cross it! But the main thing is to do it with diplomacy and tact if you can. The ground beneath them is not flat and it may mean to act rashly is not the answer at the moment as you are not on balanced ground and you may need to ground your energy before contronting a situation!

These characters barely look at each other. They do not really see who they are fighting and if they put the wands down they would actually see they are all very familiar! People and situations we find challenging in fact may be mirroring something we have to come to terms with about ourselves and in the end that always makes us put down our sword/wand and find peace.
