FULL ON FULL MOON IN LEO 28.1.2021

The Sun squares Mars; Sun opposition Moon. Sun conjunct Jupiter; Sun square Uranus; Moon Square Mars; Moon opposition Saturn; Moon square Uranus; Venus conjunct Pluto and Mars square Jupiter….

This full Moon in Leo is full and resplendent with hope that can only come from a sign such as Leo, a childlike, innocent heart with the fire of the Sun. Being embraced by the fullness of the Moon it is the Mother embracing a somewhat errant child who is sorry for upsetting a loving parent. There are so many aspects to this Moon today with squares and conjunctions that you can take your pick! Let us make it a good one! If your head is feeling a bit muzzy and your eyes a bit wobbly then it is somewhat par for the course of this energy. But if we try and go beyond the thoughts that are prevailing and the images that might swoop across our radar then we are going in the right direction!

The planet Chiron (wounded healer) is also in Aries (ruled by Mars) and although there may be a lot of squaring off with Mars square to Jupiter and the Moon square to Mars, we are also being given a chance to view things from the point of view of where the wound in ourselves stems so as to cause anger or pain. What is it that brings us discomfort and challenge? Or is it just the thought that we do not really know what will happen if we go beyond a comfort zone we have marked out for ourselves, albeit one that we might be challenged by. Planet Mercury is also in the sign of Aquarius as it prepares to go retrograde on the 30th (Saturday) and if the muzziness we feel is coming from a tiredness of looking at things in the same way we will be given a chance to review our path even more so in the coming weeks. Far from being a Debbie downer, Mercury retrograde is the chance to review the past and your history, even your past lives. So what will come up may be new even for you. It may be beyond your comprehension but it will strike a chord as you go through the days and weeks ahead. Maybe there is a lot more to you than you ever thought!

Leo of course is the heart of hearts of the zodiac. It is the childlike surrender to a heart that loves fun, loves to shine and be in charge! But just like a child it can stamp a little foot and demand from a place of its shadow. It can also be the wounded child. The child who may have witnessed patterns of behaviour that you are now ill at ease with. You may have had enough of living the patterns of the ancestors, bless them, as you have yet to find out perhaps what is it that makes you tick. The mask you wear is that of the ancestor. The one you may or may not know. As Mercury (mind, communication and messenger) stationary in the heavens is paused to let us look at how we have been communicated to and how we relay what we are trying to convey to others. We can look at this through a world wide setting also and stare at wonder in exactly how things are being packaged to send out as news. But it really is guiding us to look so deep within our own psyche that we may be uncomfortable with what we view there. Let the exterior view be in the background for a moment, we must peer ever deeper into the realms of the cosmic self hidden in our sacred hearts.

Its too late to say you don’t want to! But before that makes you screech in horror lol, There is the Knight on a white Charger trying to round your battlements and enter the secret chamber of your heart! It is a cliche almost now, but opening your heart is imperative. You might say oh but I have! But in fact it is the resurrection of the sacred heart you must go to in the secret chamber of your self. On a night that is still and a Moon that is rich in its fullness, can you steal yourself away from the noise of your thoughts and find yourself walking through the landscape of your soul to reach the holy grail of you, without fear and trepidation? This is what is being asked of us now. We can do all the good deeds we can and it is important to do so, but unless we are really being honest with ourselves, and innocent indeed, we cannot enter Heaven (Sacred Heart) to find the peace and comfort waiting for us there.

There is a lot of heated energy with Mars also in Taurus (ruled by Venus) and Mars square to Jupiter. The planet Taurus is very grounded and it can be that the fire of Mars is trying to put a fire under you to actually take action but hold fast for a while, as the action needed is a journey within. Be cautionary with how you react and act (note to self! lol) and how you perceive what is being said to you. Do we need to jump on the bandwagon of conspiracy theories and gossip (also note to self lol). But the planet Uranus is also square to the Moon so you may want to howl outside in the garden while waving at the neighbours!

We are being asked to put all of this down. The whole kit and caboodle and go further a lot further than rhetoric and explanations of what everything means to find that beyond our own words and understandings of what our place in the world means, there is a place of stillness and understanding that we are only beginning to decipher momentarily when we seek to go there. It can become our world, an inner one that will be reflected into a day to day existence. It is why we are here, among other things!

Can we put down the pain of childhood, if it was painful? Can we look beyond the hurt of old relationships, the insecurities of who we are and how we make our way in the world. In other words we have to be very vulnerable in this new world, very. We are being shown that life is precious, as is our journey and we have to not look too far ahead (even with astrology and mystical predictions) it has to be in a place of compliance to the surrender of living with the knowledge of knowing our own traits and how we make a mark on the world we inhabit while trusting we are being faithful to a light that has guided us thus far.

Of course we fall and rise and fall again, such is life. But far from being self assured on our journey we have to be hopeful, faithful and joyous and the outcome will take care of itself and this is very very hard to achieve if we are holding on to the strings of wanting to be right, wanting to make things our way and hoping others will see our point of view.

I suppose this whole big ball of wax is really tied up with string and marked with a gift card that says “Get over yourself and you are blessed!”

So in this time of hoping, and praying and trying to balance so many thoughts and emotions, maybe the comfort is that if we can get over our initial reactions and preconceived ideas to everything, we can actually get to a place that is somewhat childlike and innocent and full of love.
