And the day came when you decided to live. Not a life where you would look to others for their approval or even for their guidance and this was the day you were born again Beloved. It was a day like any other or so you thought. You had rested after a weary battle of the head and the heart and you felt as if you could not continue on this journey with all of its challenges. The moment of surrender was a long time coming as you saw surrender as the white flag of defeat when it was the nothing but the release of the ego and what you thought you knew.
And on this day you had rested. You had let go of the need to know how or why. The two words that kept you away from peace and joy. The head will continue to ask these questions but just as a small child you must keep their attention focused on the heart of everything. The love in the small acts of each moment being filled with peace bring the ultimate peace back to our hearts once more. The head will argue you ..”but yes that is all well and good but you have to worry about this or that.” But the mind only knows what it has heard. If it had not heard the word worry it would not know of its existence and therefore the feeling of it would be like a foreign language we could not decipher and have to leave down.
For all these reasons we set out on the spiritual quest of finding ourselves. It is a long and arduous task and at times filled with red herrings…but in the middle of it all we will come to know ourselves even if we think we are seeking a divine authority. Along the way we will be blessed to meet other spiritual people who have no idea of who they are either and are trying to find themselves. What a strange conundrum we have on our hands when we enter a space of not knowing and wanting to know. We enter the mystery school. i.e it is a mystery because no one is quite sure what to do or how to do it but looking for signs!! What brought them there? Who knows! But it was a discontentment felt with the every day life they were living. An uneasiness that made itself known so as to encounter the journey we call “spiritual”.
But just as the symbolism we encountered on that journey became a part of our every day lives we would one day come to realise it was those very symbols showing us that we were on a path that spirals away from our hearts into the ancient paths already worn on this Earth. And the journey takes on a different colour as we experience the history of the Masters and walk the path of the pilgrim. We travel, and we meet others and we rejoice with others who are experiencing what we may be going through. It brings us a kinship we might not have within our families and day to day lives. This is all as it should be Beloved. A child must grow and leave the confines of family with a rite of passage and so must we if we have not had the opportunity of growing fully in our adult life.
There is the clue we have searched for Beloved. The journey of the pilgrim is the child trying to find its feet on the Earth once more. Tracing the footsteps of who has gone before in another time and place to see how they discovered the meaning to life. The only person we are trying to Master is ourselves but we will not see that until we surrender to a higher force that is also present within us.
There are many who say the divine feminine has been rejected when She has only ever been rejected by those who wished for her not to be known. She is always present in nature and in the hearts of man and woman. But the cause of fighting for the divine feminine is a futile one when we do not accept her as being part of our hearts and indeed a very Holy Spirit within us.
When our nurturing Self decides to make herself known, whether you male or female, you will feel it as the comfort you may not have felt before. It will come at a time when you surrender completely to a higher power that dwells within you. This is the point where you must let go of your ego and need to know. The trend of calling God source takes us away from the higher power of divinity within us. It sends us on a merry chase of thinking we know all of the answers when we don’t. Even the most spiritual among us do not have the answers only a mere titbit of what a miraculous world we live in. It is at the point of searching for answers we are at our most vulnerable Beloveds. The child in us wants to find people who resonate with us and there is a camaraderie with fellow spiritual travellers but the journey can only ever lead you back to You as it is you that must find how you can live with yourself.
Our spirituality is only part of the journey. It is a quest we embark on with the idea we will find ourselves and save humanity, and in some ways we go further away from the person we have been to find a whole lot of issues we need to look at in a very earthly way. In my experience the spiritual journey has been trusting the guidance of feelings and signs to be in the right space at the right time and in some ways that is the truth. We encounter what we need to and learn from those experiences but in the end we must always return to our own hearts and be comfortable with what we have there. We must be able to live a very earthly life with a knowing that the divine is readily available to us at any time. It is not ‘out there’ it is deep inside our hearts and souls. It is the paternal and maternal love of God resting beyond our understanding that we must allow permeate our being. We can belong to groups or religions if we wish if it gives us comfort but the real comfort, the blessing and the breakthrough for the world is the Holy Spirit. The divinely masculine and feminine Being that is the Mother and Father’s breath of God within each person. No one is left out and no one is above another. It can never be that way. How reassuring it is to know we don’t actually know everything!! It takes away the responsibility of having to have the answers for everyone all of the time!!! A new world is calling us and it is an ancient world and an eternal One. The world is safe and so are we. We just have to surrender to something more within us. It is calling and when you are ready you will answer.
